The Brief
The client’s video calls now have a bold and sophisticated backdrop. The formally unused room has been transformed into a functional and stylish space that the client really enjoys working from.
This was an awkward space with that had no real purpose for the client other than a cut through to the utility. The initial briefing uncovered that client needed his own working space so I began to analyse the layout to see what was possible.
A corner desk was the obvious choice to give the client the space he needed for drawings and storage. The angular room was softened with the introduction of a round jute rug which offered balance to the sharp lines of the space, bringing attention to the middle of the room whilst establishing a visual statement.
