Multifunctional bedroom

This project was for a multifunctional bedroom where the client could relax and unwind without it feeling like a bachelor pad. The room had poor acoustics and a lack of usable storage.

The response to brief included designing a walk-in wardrobe to offer practical storage solutions coupled with acoustic panelling to help with soundproofing. Wooden elements were repeated throughout the room with furniture, lighting and a bespoke wall desk which doubled up as artwork when not in use.

The TV unit was designed to be used from the bed or relaxation area with a 360 degree swivel. Paired with a motorised TV lift, the TV could be completely hidden when not in use so it didn't dominate the space. Wall lights featured all had dimmable switches to give complete control of the ambience.

All hardwear choices complimented the lighting with gunmetal and brass knurled elements adding a sophisticated touch of masculinity. The bed was the hero of the space in an upholstered rust fabric, depicting the autumnal colour palette and paired with textiles with key colours from the wallpaper.
